Top 20 Finish for SOCO DECA Students

We have some incredible news to share from the world stage of DECA! Congratulations to Gideon Abebe, Shreya Soni, and Mateen Zekrya, who earned a Top 20 finish in the world at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, GA. Competing against more than 18,000 students from around the globe, this outstanding team showcased their talent, professionalism, and hard work in the "International Business Plan" event. As part of their project, they developed a 20-page business plan and delivered a dynamic presentation outlining the expansion of HelloFresh into South Korea, identifying it as a strong, untapped market with little direct competition. Let's give a huge round of applause to these Stallions for representing South County with excellence on the global stage; their hard work, talent, and dedication make us all proud.

The 2026 DECA International Career Development Conference took place April 25-28 in Atlanta, GA. High school and collegiate DECA members competed across various business, marketing, finance, and hospitality categories.
