About Dr. Khoshaba
Dr. Khoshaba proudly enters his 29th year in public education and his third year as Principal of South County High School. With a career spanning multiple roles—including high school and middle school principal, assistant principal, school psychologist, special education teacher, and wrestling coach—Dr. Khoshaba brings a well-rounded and deeply rooted passion for serving students and staff.
At the heart of his leadership is a steadfast commitment to fostering a school culture where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Dr. Khoshaba believes schools should be joyful places of belonging where spirit is high, voices are honored, and excellence is pursued together. Under his leadership, SoCo continues to amplify student voice, celebrate staff, and ensure equity in access and opportunity for all learners.
This year’s theme, “Standing Strong for 20 Years, ” reflects Dr. Khoshaba’s belief in the power of unity and collaboration. His leadership style empowers teams to lead boldly, support one another, and approach challenges with both empathy and accountability.
A proud Virginian with strong Iraqi roots, Dr. Khoshaba treasures time with his family and embraces the simple joys of life—from solving a tough Sudoku puzzle to making a perfect cup of coffee. An avid traveler and lifelong Star Wars fan, he brings curiosity, optimism, and school pride to every corner of Stallion Nation.

Lisa Beskenis

About Ms. Beskenis
Ms. Beskenis is excited to join the administrative team at South County High School, supporting the Math, CTE, and Fine Arts departments. She spent the majority of her career as an English teacher at McLean High School before transitioning to an assistant principal at Oakton High School in 2021.Ms. Beskenis is originally from Hampton, Virginia and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. She earned her Master of Teaching and certification in Administration and Supervision from UVA as well. When she’s not at school, Ms. Beskenis enjoys hiking, cooking, and traveling with her husband and son.
Ms. Beskenis’s passion for centering and empowering student voice has been a primary driver throughout her career, and she is thrilled to bring that passion to the South County family as the newest assistant principal.

Bryan Hazard

About Mr. Hazard
Mr. Hazard is starting his second year as an assistant principal at South County High School, where he works with students whose last names begin with Di -K. This year marks his 30th year in education.
Before coming to South County, Mr. Hazard spent many years at Robinson Secondary School, where he served as the MTSS Coordinator and a System of Support Advisor. In this role, he helped develop strategies to support all students. He was also a Health and Physical Education teacher and the Head Wrestling Coach, leading his teams to seven VHSL State Championships.
Mr. Hazard is a proud graduate of George Mason University, where he earned both his undergraduate and master's degrees in education and was a member of the wrestling team. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and cooking with his family, attending live music events, and working as a public address announcer and TV broadcaster for various sports.
With his extensive background in educational leadership and a passion for community engagement, Mr. Hazard is dedicated to helping students and staff at South County High School reach their full potential.

Jeremiah Caven

About Mr. Caven
Mr. Caven is excited to be in his 10 th year at South County High School as an Assistant Principal. He began his career as a 7 th grade Science teacher at Hayfield Secondary School before becoming an Assistant Principal at Mark Twain Middle School. He made the jump to high school administration as an Assistant Principal at Fairfax High School before returning home to the Lorton community.
Mr. Caven is from Portland, Maine and graduated from the University of Virginia in 2001. He earned a Masters degree in Education from James Madison University before beginning his FCPS career, which now spans over 22 years. In Mr. Caven’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, hiking, biking, and spending time on the ocean.

About Ms. Garrison
Ms. Garrison is excited to start her sixth year as the Director of Student Services at South County High School. She began her career in FCPS as an Elementary Teacher at Cherry Run Elementary School in 1993. While teaching at Bonnie Brae Elementary, she began to pursue her Masters in School Counseling at George Mason University. She obtained her first school counseling job at South County when they opened as a Secondary School in 2005. Ms. Garrison was named the Director of Student Services at South County High School during the 2017-2018 school year.
Ms. Garrison is a Coast Guard brat whose greatest joy is spending time with her parents and her three grown sons. She aspires to carry the mace at a South County graduation!
Bryan Harris

About Mr. Harris
Bryan Harris brings a philosophy that emphasizes student engagement, leadership development, and character growth through athletics and extracurriculars.
Mr. Harris previously served as the Assistant Director of Student Activities at Annandale High School, where he drove a significant increase in athletic participation, growing the program from 883 to over 1,000 athletes. He was instrumental in expanding student opportunities by revitalizing the Scholastic Bowl, Debate, and Speech teams, and successfully launching an E-Sports program. Known for his collaborative leadership style, he is committed to building positive relationships with students, staff, and the Lorton community.
A dedicated member of the Stallion Nation, Mr. Harris and his family are local residents, with his two oldest children actively involved at South County.

Hassan Mims

About Mr. Mims
Since 2019, Mr. Hassan Mims has been at South County High School as the Systems of Support Advisor (SOSA). Mr. Mims began his career as a Social Studies teacher and school-based leader in FL. Mr. Mims has teaching and leadership experiences from West Potomac High School and Annandale High School.
Mr. Mims is from Prince George's County, Maryland. He graduated from Daytona State College and Florida A&M University. He earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida A&M University. In Mr. Mims’ spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family & mentees, attending church, exploring national parks, travelling, playing tennis, cycling, and hiking. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

About Ms. Omohundro
Ms. Omohundro is beyond thrilled to start her 13th year in FCPS as the instructional coach at South County HS. The warmth and vibrancy of this community are truly inspiring, and she’s excited to contribute to the growth and success of both educators and students alike.
Her journey in education began with her 3rd grade classroom and then transitioned into a special education role after nine years. Her experiences in both settings taught her the profound impact that tailored teaching approaches and inclusive environments can have on every student's journey. Now, as your instructional coach, Ms. Omohundro’s goal is to work together with teachers to explore innovative strategies, share valuable resources, and create a collaborative space for professional growth. I am dedicated to supporting our teachers as they inspire and guide the brilliant minds of South County.
Alicia Day Javkhlan

About Ms. Javkhlan
Ms. Javkhlan is a proud NOVA resident and the product of a military family of musicians. She began her teaching career in Prince William County in 2003 and moved to FCPS in 2008, serving in several pyramid schools before spending the past 13 years at West Potomac High School as orchestra director, piano instructor, category B music teacher, and music department chair. In addition to her classroom work, she has served on PBIS, Equity, Safety and Security, Intervention, and Attendance teams, always striving to create the best environment for students and staff.
