Other (less common) alternatives

Latin 4 HN (0.5 weight)  Occasionally, a student may not feel ready for DE or AP (for instance, has a C+ in Latin 3 but wants to continue their study of the language) and may feel more prepared by taking Latin 4 HN first. These students would be rolled into the AP class, but would have reduced expectations and assignments. Homework will average 30–45 minutes per class.

Latin 5 HNFor students who have already completed both DE and AP Latin, signing up for Latin 5 is a way to continue their study of Latin authors and texts at the highest level. Students would work together with the teacher to develop a syllabus of readings based on their interests, and project-based learning will be an important component of the course, as students develop research and creative projects centered on specific authors or genres.
