A picture of the AP Exam Calendar offered at West Springfield High School. The schedule can also be found on the College Board 2026 AP Exam website.

Please note that all students taking the AP Chemistry exam at WSHS in May of 2026 will take the exam during the late window (Wednesday, May 20th at 12PM) due to constraints on the testing space in our building.

College Board Testing Accommodations
Students who would like to apply to the College Board for testing accommodations through their school must submit application and parental consent forms before January 16th in order to provide schools time to meet the submission deadline established by the College Board. Please contact your school’s Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) coordinator (Laura Fitzsimmons - [email protected] ) for additional information. Families can also submit requests directly to College Board.

Please note that testing accommodations listed on IEPs or 504s are not automatically granted for AP testing, so families must apply separately to the College Board . If a student already has College Board accommodations approved from a previous PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, SAT, or AP test, then no further action is needed. Once instated, accommodations remain in place for all College Board testing.

When do AP exams take place?

AP exams will take place between May 4th and May 15th 2025. The AP exam schedule can be found on the AP Central website

Please note that all students taking the AP Chemistry exam at WSHS in May of 2026 will take the exam during the late window (Wednesday, May 20th at 12PM) due to constraints on the testing space in our building.

Late exams can only be offered under the following circumstances:

  • A student is enrolled in two simultaneous exams (ex: English Language and German Language are both May 13th at 8AM).
  • A student is approved for accommodations that make it impossible to start an afternoon exam on time (ex: a student with extended time for the morning Calculus exam could not make it to the afternoon Seminar exam on time).
  • A student missed their exam due to unforeseeable circumstances (sudden illness or family emergency).
  • A student will miss their exam due to a school-sponsored academic or athletic competition
    • If you know this to be the case, please contact Laura Fitzsimmons ( [email protected] ) as soon as possible.

All students are required to have a College Board account to access important classroom materials as well as register for exams. Students should create an account and sign up in AP Classroom no later than September 26th. Students  SHOULD use a personal email address and not their school email address, as the school email address will expire when they graduate. Scores will also be reported through student accounts in July of each year.

Students will login in here:  https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/

Teachers, counselors, and AP Coordinators do not have access to student’s College Board account. Issues with logging into your account must be directed to the College Board directly at 888.225.5427.

Each class will have a unique code that will enable you to enroll in AP Classroom. Once you have enrolled in the AP Classroom for your course, you will automatically be registered for the AP exam. Information on how to enroll can be found on the  College Board website

How do I know I am registered for my AP exams?

Once you have enrolled in the AP Classroom for your course, you will automatically be registered for the AP exam. You can view your registration status on the homepage of MyAP

If you have questions about AP Exam fees and payments, please visit the FCPS AP and IB Test Fees webpage.

Students will receive a letter in October that gives the option to opt out of one or more AP exams. This form must be returned to the Student Services office. Do not return the opt out form to teachers.  If you do not return the form, you will automatically be registered and billed, if applicable.

How do I register to "self-study" for an exam?

If you would like to take an AP Exam for a course that does not appear on your schedule, please reach out to Mrs. Fitzsimmons ( [email protected] ) with your request. You will be responsible for the non-refundable test fee.
