Citing Sources in APA 7th Edition: RefWorks & Endnote

Why Use Citation Management Software?

You will need to collect many, many articles over the course of your doctoral journey. The dissertation alone typically includes at least 100 sources!

Keeping so many resources organized saves time.

Citation management software helps you organize, format, and store your citations as you gather them from across many different resources.

The library provides access to 2 Citation Management software programs, RefWorks and EndNote:

Access RefWorks or EndNote through the RefWorks & EndNote guide.

How to Use RefWorks

RefWorks is a user-friendly system that allows you to store, organize, and create citations in your own customized database.  You can choose from multiple citation styles and easily insert your citations into your paper.

RefWorks requires you to create an account to access the program.  Always enter RefWorks through the GCU Library website .  GCU does not have access to your RefWorks account, so if you forget your password, you will need to request your login information through RefWorks. Your email must be your school email.

To learn more about how to use RefWorks you can attend a live webinar, view a video series from the makers of RefWorks, or read the manual.
