Cookies (not the edible kind) are pieces of information that get stored in your internet browser. This data can be helpful by keeping a record of websites you visit, and by saving your login information for things like Halo Learn or the GCU Portal.
The steps for enabling cookies are different on each internet browser. Click the appropriate menu below for instructions.
- Click the menu icon and select Settings.
- Click Privacy, search, and servicesin the left column.
- Select the Cookiesoption.

Turn on the option for Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended).

- Click the menu icon and select Settings.
- Click Privacy & security.

Under the Privacy & security heading, navigate for Cookiesthen select Don’t block cookiesfrom the menu.

- Click the menu icon and select Settings.
- Search for cookiesin the search bar at the top of the page.
- Select Third-party cookies.

Select the Allow third-party cookiessetting. Once your settings have been adjusted, close and re-open your browser.

- Click the menu icon and select Settings.
- Click the Privacy & Securitytab.

Under the History heading, ensure that the Firefox willdropdown is set to Remember History. This will automatically allow Cookies on websites you visit.
If you would like more control over the specific history settings on your browser, select the Use custom settings for historyoption instead. This will allow you to specifically indicate what type of cookies you allow, and how long your browser will save them. Once your settings have been adjusted, close and re-open your browser.

- Click Safarifrom the menu bar and select Settings.
- Select the Advancedtab.

Next in the Privacysection, uncheck Block all cookies. This will allow cookies from most websites (including GCU). Once your settings have been adjusted, close and re-open your browser.
