"Managed Service for Apache Spark" is the new name for the product formerly known as "Dataproc on Compute Engine" (cluster deployment) and "Google Cloud Serverless for Apache Spark" (serverless deployment).

Managed Service for Apache Spark & Cloud SDK

In addition to using the Dataproc APIs or the Managed Service for Apache Spark Batches UI , you can access Managed Service for Apache Spark using Cloud SDK's gcloud dataproc batches commands.

Install the Cloud SDK

To use the gcloud command-line tool, install the Cloud SDK by following the instructions at installation and quick start .

Note: Managed Service for Apache Spark requires the use of gcloud comand-line tool version 369.0.0 or later.
