Manage AppSheet in your organization

AppSheet is available as an add-on paid subscription to all Google Workspace editions. AppSheet Core licenses are included at no cost with most Google Workspace editions. See Google Workspace editions that include AppSheet Core.

What is AppSheet?

Google AppSheet is a no-code development platform that lets anyone without coding experience build mobile and web applications. You can build AppSheet apps from data sources, such as Google Sheets, Excel, Cloud SQL, Salesforce, and other similar connectors, or use a built-in AppSheet database. App user activity syncs to the connected data source(s). Learn more about AppSheet data management .

Apps are dynamic and can be used across mobile devices or browsers. Design the interface for applications using app templates to create maps, calendars, dashboards, and more. Automated workflows can also be incorporated into apps for doing things, such as sending notifications, generating emails, creating custom reports, and modifying data across any connected source.

The following table summarizes the AppSheet free and add-on subscriptions available to your Workspace organization.

Google Workspace editions that include AppSheet Core

The following Google Workspace editions include AppSheet Corelicenses for each domain-verified user in the Workspace organization at no cost. 

Note: If you have subscribed to AppSheet Core licenses on  appsheet.com  or Google Workspace , they may no longer be necessary if your app users are also part of your Workspace organization and have access to AppSheet Core. To determine how many app users are part of your Workspace organization and no longer require Core licenses, go to  My Account > App Info .

How licensing works

  • AppSheet Core licenses are available to each Workspace user in the organization with most Google Workspace editions. See Google Workspace editions that include AppSheet Core.
  • You can buy AppSheet Core, AppSheet Enterprise Plus, or AppSheet User Pass as an add-on subscription if your Workspace edition doesn’t include AppSheet Core licenses, or if you have users who don’t have a license to your Workspace subscription, for example, Cloud Identity users.
  • If you purchase AppSheet Core or AppSheet Enterprise as an add-on subscription, you can assign AppSheet licenses to some or all users in your organization. If you purchase AppSheet User Pass as an add-on subscription, you buy a pool of licenses that are available to your organization’s users as needed.
  • Only users with AppSheet licenses assigned to them can share AppSheet apps.
  • AppSheet Core, AppSheet Enterprise Plus, and AppSheet User Pass licenses are available only to customers that have  verified ownership  of their domain.
  • The license required to use an app, depends on the app creator's license. AppSheet Core creators require users to have AppSheet Core or AppSheet User Pass licenses. AppSheet Enterprise Plus creators require users to have AppSheet Enterprise Plus or AppSheet User Pass licenses. Downgrading the creator's license may affect app features.
