Image family release notes

This document lists the available operating system (OS) image families that you can use in Cluster Director, their end of support (EOS) dates, and their patch release notes.

To help ensure that your clusters run smoothly and receive security updates, you must periodically update the node sets in your clusters to use a supported image family. For more information about the lifecycle of an image family in Cluster Director, see Image family lifecycle .

Supported image families

The following table lists the supported image families for the compute nodes in a cluster:

Image families for A4X

The following sections list the patch release notes for the image families that support the A4X machine series.

The following list details the patch release history for the a4x-ubuntu-2404-arm64-nvidia-580-slurm-2505-v20251118 image family:

• v08 (May 20, 2026):

  • Updated the gcsfuse_spank.so plugin to include recent fixes .

• v07 (April 3, 2026):

  • Fixed vulnerabilities in libssl3 and libtasn1-6 (CVE-2025-15467, CVE-2021-46848, CVE-2025-13151).

  • Removed the unused Node.js packages minimatch and flatted to address vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-27904, CVE-2026-32141).

• v06 (March 3, 2026):

  • Removed the unused munge package to address a vulnerability (CVE-2026-25506).

• v05 (February 13, 2026):

  • Disabled Data Center GPU Manager (DCGM) hang detection to resolve a known issue.
