Universal Immersive Reader respects your privacy. This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal or browsing data from users. All processing occurs locally on your device within your web browser.

Data Collection

• No personal information, browsing history, or analytics data is collected.
• Selected text is processed only locally to display it in the immersive reader interface.
• No data is transmitted to any external server or third party.

Permissions Usage

• activeTab: Temporarily accesses the current page when you activate the immersive reader.
• scripting: Injects the reader interface only after explicit user interaction.
• storage: Saves user preferences (e.g., text size, speech rate) locally in your browser.
• host permissions: Allow reading the text you explicitly select on a webpage.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use or connect to any external APIs, analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Changes

If this policy is updated, a revised version will be published on this page and on the Chrome Web Store listing.
