You can manage the credentials for all of the waterfall ad sources you're using for mediation from the waterfall ad sources table. To get to the table, click Mediationin the sidebar. Then, click the Ad sources tab.
Use the Network credentials column to review and make changes to your ad source credentials.
The waterfall ad sources table also includes information about how many mediation groups are associated with each ad source, which ad sources support optimization and eCPM retrieval for reporting purposes, and the optimization status of the ad sources.
If you're searching for a specific ad source, you can use the Searchbox above the table. You can search by app name, ad unit or ad network.
When you create a mediation group and add an ad source, the source is also added to this table. Additionally, you can directly add an ad source to the table by clicking Add ad source credentials . If you add an ad source's credentials to the table, you won't have to add them later to use the ad source in a mediation group.
Optimization status column
The Optimization status column shows the status of communication between AdMob and each ad source. The table below shows the statuses and what they mean.
This ad source can still serve ads but, because the credentials are incorrect:
- AdMob can’t collect reporting data from the the ad source
- The eCPM can’t be optimized
To fix the problem, verify and update the credentials in AdMob.
You’ve entered credentials for this source, but optimization and eCPM updates for reporting haven’t started yet.
When optimization is enabled and credentials are entered, there may be a delay while AdMob gathers data. Optimization will begin automatically once AdMob has gathered enough data. This can take up to 3 days.
Some required mapping details are missing.
Enter the mapping details for each ad unit for third party reporting and optimization to begin. In most cases, these details will be available in your account with the ad source.
AdMob can’t retrieve the data for this ad source. This could be due to:
- Incorrectly mapped ad units. Check that your ad units exist in the third-party ad source and are allowed to serve ads.
Also check that the mapping details in your AdMob account match the mapping details in your third-party ad source account. - SDK integration issues. Make sure you’ve successfully integrated the Google Mobile Ads SDK for Android
or iOS
.
You can also use ad inspector to test whether you have correctly configured your app and ad units to be able to display ads from third-party networks through mediation. - Permissions issues. Check that the credentials for your third-party ad source have permission to access reporting data. This is handled in your third-party ad source account.
- The mediation group priority is too low.
- This ad source instance is ordered too low in the mediation waterfall.
