Trade in or upgrade your phone

Trade your current phone or upgrade to a newer Google Fi phone with Google Fi’s trade-in program.

Important:Settings and features may vary by device.

1. To trade in your phone for a new device, visit g.co/fi/trade-in .
   
2. Choose from the available device options compatible with Google Fi.
   
3. Under “Trade in your phone,” tap I have something to trade.
   
4. Select your phone’s manufacturer.
   
5. Select your trade-in device model.
   
6. Select the storage size.
   
7. If your phone is in good condition for a trade-in, tap Yes.
   
8. Review the estimated value.
9. If you want to move forward with the trade-in, tap Add trade-in.
   
10. Review the new phone and the trade-in promo code, then, tap Continue.
    
11. Tap Continue.
    
12. Tap I agree.
    
13. Tap Confirm purchase.
    
14. For your trade-in device, find more info on how to back up your data .
    • To get the full trade-in value, reset your device. Learn how to factory reset your Google Pixel phone .
      
15. Ship your device at no charge. After you get your trade-in kit, you have 30 days to send your old device.
    • Important:If you pre-order a device, you have up to 30 days from when your new device is delivered to ship us your old device.
      
16. After we receive your device, the trade-in value gets verified and an email is sent to you with your refund or account credit details.
    • Receive refund:If you pay for your new device in full.
    • Receive account credit:If you finance your new device.
      • Tip:You can check your trade-in device status in the Google Fi app.
        1. Open the Google Fi app.
        2. Tap Manage Plan Devices.
