How to fix: Vehicle mileage mismatch

Ensure that the ad and the vehicle description page has the same mileage

Why this issue is happening

For one or more of your products, there is a mismatch between the [mileage] attribute value provided in your product data source and the corresponding values on your vehicle description page. If these mismatches are not corrected, your account may be suspended.

Your account has been warned or suspended because we found that the difference between the mileage in your product data and vehicle description pages for few or more offers is more than 3%.

You should have received an email asking you to update your product data by a certain date so that the difference in the mileage is not more than 3%.


How to fix your issue

To resolve this issue, you must ensure the mileage of the vehicle displayed on the ad is within the acceptable range (3%) of the mileage of the vehicle on your VDP vehicle description page. Learn more about Required attributes for vehicle ads .

Note: Make sure to include the unit you use (km or miles). For new vehicles, the maximum mileage must be 200 miles or 200 kilometers.

Ensure that the mileage [mileage] attribute in your product data matches with the value on your vehicle description page

Investigate your update process to check what could be causing the problem:

  1. Check the warning email for examples of products that are affected.
    • Look for a common problem in your product data that could cause these mismatched prices.
    • Make sure you update your vehicle description page and product data (and microdata if applicable) at the same time.
      • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding the mileage of your vehicles in your product data in Merchant Center and on your vehicle descriptions page.
    • Schedule an upload or use the Content API to immediately update your product data. This scheduling helps make sure Google has the same data as is on your vehicle description page.
  2. After you address the problem, update the mileage [mileage] attribute in your product data to match your vehicle description page. Make sure to include the number of miles and the unit (km or miles) of the vehicle.
