Excellent upgrade over previous Arlo models

Excellent product and even better purchasing the bundle at Sam's because the three pack at Sam's includes a solar panel! The solar panel was a significant upgrade for me. I've been using Arlo cameras for a little over six years and this is my second set of cameras. I had to upgrade due to my prior cameras no longer being supported. But this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The new cameras are a significant upgrade in terms of quality and range of coverage, and the solar panel has eliminated having to climb ladders to switch out batteries. I needed five cameras so I purchased two of these and had no problems finding a place to mount the extra camera. The added advantage is I also received two solar charging panels. The upgraded cameras also connect directly to my router, as opposed to my previous set which required a base station that the cameras connected to. The base station wasn't necessarily a problem, but with the new set, that's one less component I have to have plugged in and hard-wired into my router. Set up was extremely easy. Basically take a picture of the QR code on the camera with your phone, and the camera connects instantly. I find the cameras to have excellent range connecting to my router so that extra camera I initially didn't need is mounted all the way at the back of my yard and it connects to my router. I also purchased a spare battery and batter charger, which I recommend so you can swap out batteries when needed and won't have any down time with the camera. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.
Avoid at all costs

The Arlo wireless camera system is an absolute nightmare and a complete waste of money. Here’s why this product is an utter disaster.

-Terrible video quality: The video quality is atrocious. The advertised "high-definition" footage is a joke. Day or night, the images are blurry and pixelated, making it impossible to recognize faces or license plates.

-Constant connectivity issues: These cameras are utterly unreliable. They frequently drop the connection, leaving blind spots in your security coverage. This flaw makes the system utterly useless for any serious security needs.

-Infuriating Lag: The delay between real-time events and what the app shows is horrible. Sometimes it’s over two minutes behind, which completely defeats the purpose of having a security system.

-Nightmare to Set Up: The setup process is a convoluted mess. The instructions are poorly written and the app is a confusing, buggy disaster. It took me hours to get everything working, only for the system to fail repeatedly. Not to mention being forced to login whenever you want to view a notification.

-Pathetically Short Range: The advertised range is a blatant lie. The cameras struggle to maintain a connection even within a few rooms. If you have a larger home, forget about it. this system won’t cut it.

-Awful customer service: The customer service is a complete joke. It took ages to get a response, and when they finally did reply, they were unhelpful and dismissive. They couldn’t solve any of the myriad issues I encountered.

-Terrible Battery Life: The battery life is horrendous. The cameras need to be recharged constantly, far more often than advertised. This makes them impractical and unreliable for continuous use.

-NOT SUITED FOR COLDER CLIMATES:
Cameras shut off at (14F) and need to be brought inside in order to turn on again.

In summary, the Arlo security camera
system is a colossal failure on all fronts. It’s unreliable, poorly designed, and backed by inept customer support. Do yourself a favor and avoid this product at all costs.
Terrible set of cameras.

I have had 2 sets of these for several months now. I am VERY Disappointed. One camera refused to synchronize with the app so I was unable to use it for quite some time. After a month of messing with it periodically, I finally got it to connect. It lasted for a few weeks and dropped offline again. I have been unable to reconnect it. Another camera worked fine for a while before it dropped offline. I fought with it for a few hours before I got it back online. After I had reinstalled it - way up on my chimney - it disappeared from the app completely. The video is significantly delayed. Supposedly you can communicate with people via the cameras. I have tried it for my front door and garage cameras. It has not worked for me at all.
Missing Part - an important one!

I purchased this bundle at Sam's Club in Bloomington MN, followed by a 4 hour drive to install additional cameras at our cabin. Upon arrival, I discovered the charging cord was missing from the box. Was this Arlo's mistake? Did Sam's give me a returned product that had been cherry picked by another customer? IDK. I have 14 Arlo cameras / doorbells, yet Arlo was unwilling to send a replacement power cord. Sam's took it back, of course, but what a waste to time. That said, the cameras are satisfactory. I wish the resolution was a little better - similar to what the doorbells provide, but they're good enough. 4 stars on the cameras, two stars on purchase / support ... so, 3.
