Studio in Looker is in preview, and the following limitations apply:
Studio in Looker isn't compatible with Looker (Google Cloud core) instances that are configured to use CMEK or VPC-SC.
Users won't be able to use Studio in Looker if they log in to their Looker instance by using secondary authentication.
If your Looker instance uses a custom domain, the custom domain URL must be added to an internal allowlist. Email Looker atstudio-in-looker-feedback@google.comto provide your custom domain.
Enabling Studio in Looker
To enable Studio in Looker, follow the instructions for Looker (original) or Looker (Google Cloud core):
To enable Studio in Looker for a Looker (original) instance, follow these steps:
In Looker, navigate toAdmin>Labs, and enable theStudio in LookerLabs feature.
In Looker, navigate toAdmin>Reports Studio in Looker>Reports setup.

Using Studio in Looker with Gemini in Looker
When Studio in Looker andGemini in Lookerare enabled for a Looker instance, Looker users who have the appropriate permissions can query Looker Explore data in natural language by accessingConversational Analytics.
For Looker (original), the instance must be running Looker 25.2 or later, and the instance must be enabled for Gemini in Looker in the Admin settings. For detailed enablement instructions, see theAdmin settings — Gemini in Lookerdocumentation page.
Navigate toAdmin>Reports Studio in Looker>Reports setup.
Disable theEnable Reportsoption.
Confirm that you understand that you will lose all your report data after 30 days if you disable Studio in Looker by selecting the box.

Restoring access to Studio in Looker reports
To restore access to existing Studio in Looker reports on your Looker instance, follow thesteps to re-enable Studio in Lookerwithin 30 days of disabling the feature.
After you re-enable Studio in Looker, some reports might appear in theRecovered reportsfolder. This typically occurs if the report's original folder was deleted or if the folder's permissions were changed. Admins canmove these reportsfrom theRecovered reportsfolder to another folder ordelete the reports.
