On May 29, 2025, we released an updated version of Apigee APIM Operator.
The Apigee APIM Operator for Kubernetes allows you to perform API management tasks using Kubernetes tools. It is designed to support cloud-native developers by providing a command-line interface that integrates with familiar Kubernetes tools likekubectl. The operator works by using various APIM resources to keep your Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) cluster synchronized with the Apigee runtime.
With this release, the APIM Operator supports the following new policies:
In addition, the newdefaultSecurityEnabledfield in theAPIMExtensionPolicylets you control whether default security is enabled when the policy is applied.
The Apigee APIM Operator for Kubernetes (v1.0) and its resources arenotbackward compatible with thev1alpha1version of the APIM Operator (or its resources) made available in thePublic Preview.
