Method: policies.update

  • This page documents how to update a saved policy using the YouTube Partner API.

  • The HTTP request to update a policy is a PUT request to a URL that includes the unique policyId in the path.

  • An optional query parameter, onBehalfOfContentOwner , allows users associated with multiple content owners to specify which content owner they are acting on behalf of.

  • Both the request and response bodies are instances of the Policy resource, which defines the policy being updated or returned.

  • Updating a policy requires the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtubepartner OAuth scope for authorization.

Updates the specified saved policy.

PUT https://youtubepartner.googleapis.com/youtube/partner/v1/policies/{policyId}

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

The policyId parameter specifies a value that uniquely identifies the policy being updated.

string

The onBehalfOfContentOwner parameter identifies the content owner that the user is acting on behalf of. This parameter supports users whose accounts are associated with multiple content owners.

The request body contains an instance of Policy .

Response body

If successful, the response body contains an instance of Policy .
