This data helps us understand user behaviour and improve Motherboard. You may learn more about this here https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/protocol/ga4
b. Note and File Data
Current: All notes and files are stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage APIs.
Planned: In future updates, we will introduce user accounts that allow cloud syncing, secure login, and the ability to share files with others. When this feature is released, we will update this policy to describe how account and file data are managed and protected.
To improve the extension: Analyze anonymized usage data via Google Analytics.
In the future: Enable account-based features, such as cloud backup, multi-device sync, and file sharing.
Your notes and files are currently stored only in your browser .
We do not transmit or store any note or file data on external servers at this time.
When account features are introduced, stored data will be protected using industry-standard encryption and access controls.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
Future sharing features will only occur with your explicit action (e.g., choosing to share a file with a contact).
You can delete your notes at any time from within the extension.
You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking via browser settings or extensions like Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Once user accounts are introduced, you will be able to manage and delete your account and shared content at any time.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the extension or legal requirements. Users will be notified of major changes via the Chrome Web Store listing or within the extension itself.
