To receive payments by EFT , you need to verify your bank account using a test deposit. A test deposit is a small amount (usually less than $1) sent by Google to your bank account. This is a standard security measure to confirm that the bank account you've added is valid and accessible before we send any actual payments. It is not related to any purchase or service charge, and the deposit amount typically remains in your account. You can check if you've received it by accessing your bank statement or contacting your local bank.
After you receive your test deposit, follow these steps to verify your bank account:
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click Payments, then Payments info.
You'll have a red alert in your AdSense account.
- Click Manage payment methods.
- Click Verify now.
- In the drop-down menu, select the test deposit amount that you received in your bank statement.
- Click Verify.
If the amounts match, your bank account is verified. You're now ready to receive payments by EFT.

I received a test a deposit but I still can’t verify my bank account. What should I do?
If you received your test deposit but haven't been able to successfully verify your bank account, here are some common reasons and solutions:
- Incorrect amount entered:Double-check your bank statement for the exact amount of the deposit from "Google LLC" or a similar sender name. Ensure you are entering this precise amount. If your bank applied a commission or fee, this might alter the amount you see. Contact your bank to confirm the original deposit amount before any fees were applied, and then enter that amount in your AdSense account.
- Incorrect bank account details:Ensure the bank account details (account number, routing number, etc.) in your AdSense account perfectly match your bank records. If there's a mismatch, you'll need to remove the incorrect payment method and add it again with the correct information, which will trigger a new test deposit.
- Verification attempts exceeded: You attempted to enter your test deposit the maximum of three times and you've been blocked from entering it again. Contact AdSense support to help you resolve this issue.
- Browser issues:Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, using a different web browser, or opening an incognito/private browsing window to attempt the verification again.
