How to apply negative keywords to your campaigns
Add negative keywords to campaigns
You can choose whether to add negative keywords to all campaigns or a specific Performance Max campaign.
- Go to Keywords
within the Campaignsicon
.
- Click the Negative keywordstab.
- To add negative keywords, click the plus button
.
- Select your Performance Max campaign.
- Add keywords, one per line, or you can select an existing negative keyword list.
- Note: You can choose a match type by using the appropriate symbols .
- Click Saveto finish adding your keywords.
Edit negative keywords
You can edit negative keywords using the steps below.
- Select the keywords you want to modify.
- Click Edit.
- Select Change keyword text.
- Add keywords, one per line.
- Note: You can choose a match type by using the appropriate symbols.
- Click Applyto finish adding your keywords.
Account-level negative keywords
You can add, remove, edit, and filter negative keywords at the account level. Negative keywords automatically apply to all Search and Shopping inventory, including in your Performance Max campaigns. Learn more About account-level negative keywords .
