Vehicle ads installments [installment]

The installment [installment] attribute is used to provide customers with the specifics of a vehicle's monthly payment plan, including financing and leasing options. This attribute allows you to display a monthly cost alongside the full cash price of the vehicle in your ads.

• Vehicle ads:This attribute is currently available for vehicle ads in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States.
• Approved categories:
  • Globally, this is supported for:
    •  Cars, Trucks & Vans (Category 916)
  •  In the US, additional supported categories include:
    • RVs (920)
    • ATVs (3018)
    • Travel Trailers (4243)

Format

Follow these formatting guidelines to ensure Google understands the data you’re submitting.

This attribute uses the following sub-attributes:

• Months [ m onths] (Required):This is an integer representing the number of monthly payments.
• Amount [amount] (Required):The monthly payment amount. Must follow ISO 4217 currency standards  
  • For example: 150.00 USD 

• Annual percentage rate APR [apr] ( Required in some countries)The APR expressed as a decimal number where 2.00 represents 2%. 

• Downpayment [downpayment] (Optional):The upfront payment required. Must follow ISO 4217 currency standards. Defaults to 0 if not provided.
• Credit type [credit_type] (Optional):The type of installment. This is an ENUM field with supported values: finance or lease. Defaults to finance if unspecified.
• Total amount [total_amount] (Optional): The total amount of credit or total amount owed by the consumer, depending on regional requirements. Formatted via ISO 4217.
  • Note: This is a required attribute for vehicle ads installment ads in Spain and Italy when the credit type[credit_type] is finance . 
    • Spain: Use this to provide the Importe Total Adeudado (Total Amount Owed).
    • Italy: Use this to provide the Importo totale del credito (Total Amount of Credit).
      • Note:  For Italy, the value must be stated explicitly and cannot be replaced by a calculation formula.

Minimum requirements

These are the requirements you'll need to meet to show your ads. If you don't follow these requirements, we'll disapprove your product and let you know in your Merchant Center account.

• Match your landing page.The installment details in your feed (amount [amount], months [ months] , downpayment [downpayment] ) must match the default "On-load" values displayed on your landing page.
• Provide country-specific mandatory data.
  • Italy and Spain:You must include total amount [total_amount] when the credit type [credit_type] is finance.
  • United States, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Canada:You must include APR [apr] when the credit type [credit_type] is finance.
  • Handle "Lease-Only" offers correctly.If a vehicle is only available for lease and has no cash price, you must set the price [price] attribute to 0. 
  • Data Integrity:Do not put the monthly installment amount in the standard price [price] field.
