Final URLs are replacing destination URLs as part of the URL upgrade. You can no longer create or edit ads that use a destination URL. Learn more about Final URL: Definition
The final URL is the URL address of the page on your website that people reach when they click your ad. It's also known as the landing page.
To ensure a good user experience and comply with Google Ads policies, your final URL must meet certain requirements. Errors like "Destination Mismatch" or "Destination Not Working" can cause your ads to be disapproved. Here are key points to check:
- Domain consistency: The domain of your final URL must match the domain of your display URL. For example, if your display URL is www.example.com, your final URL must also be on the example.com domain.
- No cross-domain redirects: The final URL should not redirect to a different domain. Any redirects must stay within the same domain as your final URL.
- URL accuracy: The final URL shown in the ad should lead directly to the advertised content. Avoid using short URLs that expand to a different landing page than what's specified in your final URL.
- Consistent casing: Ensure the capitalization in your final URL matches the actual URL of your landing page, as some web servers are case-sensitive.
- Valid characters: Avoid using non-standard characters in your URLs.
