COVID-19 is no longer considered a global pandemic and we are therefore updating our previous policy requirements for COVID-19 related apps. New or existing COVID-19 apps that contain health-related features or access health data now fall under the new Health Apps policy .
If you plan to significantly change your app functionality, such as adding or removing contact tracing or status-storing functionalities, then you must alert your users (for example, via an in-app notification or update the "What’s new" section). You may also consider unpublishing your app from Google Play.
