The Video assets page in Merchant Center is designed to help you view, manage, and distribute your video content across Google's advertising and organic surfaces. The Video assets page helps you more easily leverage video in your marketing efforts on Google. In the future, additional video features and capabilities will be launched in the Video assets page.

Utilizing the Video assets page offers several key benefits:

  • Automate video management: View existing videos aggregated for you, from your website and social channels. You can also create new videos using Product Studio’s AI-powered video generation tool. Search, filter, and organize your video assets for upcoming marketing campaigns.
  • Drive customer engagement: Engage customers and drive conversions by seamlessly mapping your product listings to video content. Google AI conveniently identifies and suggests the products within your videos, making it easy to connect your product offers to your videos. You have full control to review, edit, and add product offers to your videos.
  • Distribute your videos seamlessly across Google: Your videos are automatically synced with Google Ads, making it easy to leverage videos during ad creation. Control where your videos appear on Search like your free listings and brand profile .

To access the Video assets page, follow the steps below or simply go directly to the Video assets page .

  1. In your Merchant Center account , go to Creative contentin the left-navigation menu.
  2. Click Video assetsunder the “Creative content” section.

How it works

The Video assets page provides a comprehensive set of tools to review, manage, and distribute your video content effectively across Google’s advertising and organic surfaces.


View your videos

Google aggregates all your videos in one centralized view, pulling them directly from their original sources without storing any copies. To view your videos, go to the “Your videos” section on the page. By default, you can view your most recent videos first. Your video content is automatically curated and populated from these sources:

  • Social channels: Your social profiles were either added in Merchant Center or found by Google.
  • Website: Your website is connected to your Merchant Center account.
  • Product Studio: Product Studio is a suite of free, AI-powered tools that creates high-quality images and videos.
Note: The "Your videos" section is designed to showcase a curated selection of your video content. You might not be able to view every single video from your sources, as we prioritize the most relevant and recent content.

You can view each video thumbnail, duration, and source. Where applicable, you can also view the video title, time since originally created, and products identified in the video. Click on the video thumbnailto open up the video viewer where you can watch the video and get details about where the video may be shown. For videos from third party platforms, you’ll be redirected to watch the full video on the host platform.


Filtering and sorting

To efficiently manage your video gallery, you can use predefined filters:

  • Sources: Website, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Product Studio
  • Type: Product featured, No product featured

There is also dynamic sorting to organize your video gallery by:

  • Newest
  • Oldest
  • Shortest
  • Longest

Understand how your videos can be used

At the top of the page, you’ll view “How your videos can be used” across Google for product listings or your brand profile on Search. Your product videos can appear in product listings across Google in organic search results. Your videos can be shown on brand profile which offers visual ways to showcase your brand on Google Search.

Additionally, if you’ve linked your Google Ads account to Merchant Center , all videos shown in the “Your videos” section are shared with the Google Ads asset library . You can apply your video assets to ads using the media picker during campaign construction.


Confirm the products being featured in your product videos

The Video assets page gives you the ability to map your product offers to your video content for use across Google. This helps to enrich your product listings and increase customer engagement. In the future, you’ll be able to see videos mapped to your product offers from the Products page.

  1. A dedicated card will appear on the Video assets page (“Verify the products featured in your videos, so customers can go from viewing to buying”) when you have new, relevant product videos to review. The card will remain visible as long as there is at least one unreviewed product video from either your YouTube or from Product Studio.

  2. Click Confirm products.

  3. Review the video(s) shown and where applicable, verify the products featured in your videos:

  • Videos from your website: These videos are surfaced from your website and automatically mapped to product offers. Product videos from your website can be shown on Google. No action is required.
  • Videos from your YouTube: These videos are surfaced from your YouTube channel with AI-powered product mapping applied. Verify the products shown in your YouTube by choosing to accept, modify, or reject the recommended product. If you want to modify the product featured in the video, you’ll be able to select a product offer from your feed. You can select up to one product offer to feature in a single video.
  • AI-generated videos from Product Studio: These videos are automatically generated by AI using your Merchant Center products. Review the quality of each product video and choose to save or dismiss the video. By choosing to save the video, you are agreeing to the Product Studio Terms of Service . After these videos are saved, they can be highlighted on Google in organic search results.
  1. After taking actions on your product videos, they will update accordingly in the “Your videos” section:

  • Videos from your YouTube: Any changes to the recommended product will get reflected within the “Your videos” section. Videos that have a confirmed featured product will show the product information from within the “Your videos” section and be eligible to surface for the filter “Type: Product featured”. You can always edit or remove the product being featured in the video by clicking on the video from within the “Your videos” section.

  • AI-generated videos from Product Studio: Videos that you have saved will populate within the “Your videos” section. Videos that you have dismissed will not appear in the “Your videos” section but can still be found in the “History” tab of Product Studio so long as the asset hasn’t expired.

Manage videos for your brand profile

The Video assets page supports the distribution of your video content to enhance your brand presence on Google. When viewing an individual video from the "Your videos" section, some of your videos may indicate that they can appear on your brand profile. If so, you’ll have the option to click “ Manage your brand” which takes you to the brand management page where you can manage which videos can display on your brand profile.


Generate video with AI

In the “Your videos” section, you’ll be able to view an option to “ Generate video with AI.” Clicking on this will redirect you to generate a video in Google Product Studio .
