If you close a notification by mistake, you can find it again in your phone's notification history.
Tip:You must turn on notification history first before you can find past alerts.
Turn notification history on or off
- Open your phone's Settings app.
- Tap Notifications
Notification history.
- Turn Use notification historyon or off.
When turned on, your phone will keep a list of the notifications you've dismissed in the last 24 hours.
Find your past notifications
After you turn on your notification history, there are 2 ways to find it.
- From your notifications:
- Swipe down from the top of your screen to get your current notifications.
- Scroll to the bottom of the list.
- Tap History

- From the Settings app:
- Open your phone's Settings app.

In the history list, you can tap a notification to open the app it came from.
