The Inspiration tab helps you generate and brainstorm suggestions for ideas, titles, thumbnails, and outlines for your content with the assistance of AI tools.
Notes:
- AI-generated content ideas using the Inspiration tab in YouTube Studio may be inaccurate or inappropriate and vary in quality. Generated content ideas do not represent YouTube's views. Don't include personal information while using this feature, or rely on ideas, outlines, or other outputs from this feature for professional advice. Use discretion before you create or use any such AI-generated content ideas.
- The Inspiration tab is available in all global markets only on desktop. The tool can only give you content ideas in English. If you don’t see the Inspiration tab in the Content page, that means that you don’t have access to the feature. If you’re a creator that has saved ideas in previous versions of Inspiration, you can export these ideas in Google Takeout .
Get started on the Inspiration Tab
- Sign in to YouTube Studio .
- In the left menu, select Content
.
- From the top menu, click the Inspirationtab.
- Start brainstorming topics for your next video:
- When you open the tab, you will see nine suggested ideas based on your channel’s data. You can refine these ideas further or brainstorm new ideas using the input box with your prompts or clicking the suggestion chips.
- You can also brainstorm using previously published videos by selecting them from the + menu.
- If you want to explore similar ideas to an idea you see on your feed, click More like thison the idea card. You can also click Show moreon the bottom of the page to load 9 similar but new ideas.
- By clicking on the setting icon
you can set up your image preferencesto view ideas in a Digital painting or Sketch image style. You can also choose to disable images if you prefer to leave it to your imagination.
- You can easily navigate between the iterations you made using the back & forward arrows on the feed: you will never lose any idea you explored until you reload the page.
- If you like an idea and want to save it for later, use the bookmarkicon on the Idea card.
- Understand the rationale of the video ideas and its potential:
- Idea card:Each idea offers a detailed view that includes its name, a brief summary, and a relevant image. This also features data-driven insights into how well an idea might perform on YouTube: Audience interest indicators, aggregated comment insights, and prediction signals for all ideas.
- Channel alignment:Understand how an idea aligns with your channel's content and what unique angle you can bring, connecting it with your previous videos.
- Related interest:Confirm if an idea is worth pursuing based on recent interest in the topic, including related videos, creator names, views, thumbnails, and upload dates.
- Select an idea to see the suggestion for an outline, title, and thumbnail.
C2PA manifest
Note:Generated thumbnail images from the Inspiration tab may include a valid, signed C2PA manifest. When you click the “Download thumbnail” button and reuse or share the thumbnail with a C2PA manifest to an external platform, that platform can access this metadata.
C2PA standards:This technology is based on an open standard for content origin and authenticity developed by the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity ( C2PA ). Hooks
Use hooks to help capture your audience's attention in the opening segment of your next video by creating an engaging hook. Use captivating visuals, thought-provoking statements, or compelling actions to entice viewers and encourage them to keep watching.
Outlines
You easily create engaging video outlines by suggesting ideas and simplifying video production from start to finish. You can use these outline suggestions for your next video scripts.
Titles
This card helps creators develop effective video titles by suggesting options based on similar videos and trends. These suggestions can be customized to fit your content.
Thumbnails
Let AI suggest eye-catching, customizable thumbnails helping your content stand out. You can change the default image to digital painting or sketch style to get a better idea on how it could look like.
Related videos
This card showcases videos relevant to topics your audience has watched over the past 28 days, alongside your saved searches. You can use this feature to validate an idea's potential based on recent topical interest, highlighting related videos, and offering insights into audience engagement.
Best practice for using Inspiration
- Prompt Inspiration for better output:Bring topics you’ve been thinking about or use the suggested topic chips to build towards something exciting. You are in the driver seat – you should direct the AI to help you out where needed.
- Explore the idea’s viability:You may see your audience's interest level on new video ideas. Low audience interest is a chance to introduce a new topic and to grow your audience. Trust your instincts and pursue ideas that feel right to you and your channel. Explore potential ways to approach it on the idea card.
How data is collected and used
By interacting with Inspiration, it will collect data around your usage of the feature, including your prompts and feedback that you submit. This data will be used to develop and improve the product experience. This data will not be used to train the underlying generative machine-learning models that powers this product. Prompts and input connected with your channel as part of your interaction with Inspiration will be deleted automatically after 45 days.
To help with quality and improve Inspiration, human reviewers may read and process your conversations. We take steps to protect your privacy as part of this process. These steps include disconnecting your input from your Google Account before reviewers see them. We also use automated tools to help recognize and remove personal information, like email addresses and phone numbers.
