We offer several paid membership options for YouTube. After upgrading or switching from one membership option to another, you may find that you're getting double billed. Some of our paid membership options automatically give access to other subscriptions too, so you can possibly save money by canceling the standalone subscription.

YouTube Premium:
- Gives you access to all the YouTube Premium benefits + access to all the YouTube Music Premium benefits
- Billed through YouTube or Apple (if you signed up on iOS)
YouTube Music Premium:
- Gives you access to all the YouTube Music Premium benefits
- Billed through YouTube or Apple (if you signed up on iOS)
- Gives you access to all the YouTube Premium Lite benefits
- Billed through YouTube or Apple (if you signed up on iOS)
Google One plans:
- AI Plus:This plan includes a YouTube Premium individual plan as a discounted add-on in these countries .
- AI Ultra :This plan includes a YouTube Premium individual plan at no additional cost in these countries .
- AI Pro :This plan includes a YouTube Premium Lite individual plan at no additional cost in these countries .
How to fix a duplicate subscription
If you accidentally signed up for YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium:You can possibly save money by canceling your YouTube Music membership because it’s included in your YouTube Premium membership. If you signed up for YouTube Music Premium with Apple, cancel your membership through Apple . If you signed up with YouTube, learn how to cancel your membership .
YouTube Premium and Google One
If you have a Google One plan that includes YouTube Premium or have added it as an add-on, you may find that you have a duplicate standalone subscription. Standalone subscriptions are not automatically canceled when you join these plans, and you may need to manage them manually to avoid being double-billed.
If you’re a Google AI Pro member who’s:
- Not already subscribed to YouTube Premium or YouTube Premium Lite:Your YouTube Premium Lite plan features start automatically.
- Already subscribed to YouTube Premium:
- Your YouTube Premium paid subscription remains active.
- If you choose to cancel your YouTube Premium subscription, the YouTube Premium Lite plan, included with Google AI Pro, automatically activates and you can start to use its benefits on YouTube.
- Already subscribed to YouTube Premium Lite:
- Your YouTube Premium Lite paid subscription remains active.
- If you choose to cancel your standalone paid YouTube Premium Lite subscription, the YouTube Premium Lite plan, included with Google AI Pro, automatically activates and you can continue to use its benefits on YouTube.
If you’re unable to purchase a standalone YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium plan, it may be because you recently canceled a previous subscription which is still active until the end of that billing cycle. You'll need to wait for your previous YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium subscription billing period to end before you can sign up for a new individual or family plan. Once your current benefits expire, you can then sign up for a new plan of your choice through the YouTube website or app.
Managing Duplicate Subscriptions
To stop paying for two subscriptions, follow these steps:
- Go to your Purchases and memberships page .
- Find the standalone YouTube Premium or Premium Lite subscription you want to cancel.
- Select Manage membership.
- Select Deactivateto cancel the membership.
If you cancel your Google One plan, any YouTube Premium add-on or benefit included with that plan will also end at the end of your billing cycle.
