Pre-Leasing & Leasing

Practice Ride Info. - For riders who would like to get some extra time in the saddle we offer practice rides. Once riders are able to safely catch their horse in the pasture, tack up on their own and work independently and safely at the walk & trot they can sign up for practice rides. Younger riders may also sign up for practice rides if their instructor has given their parent the "OK" to assist them during this time. You may ONLY work on skills taught in your riding class. NO one may jump without GES staff supervision.
- Practice rides must be taken outside of GES class times. Days & Times vary by season depending on the current class schedule. Most practice ride days are Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Other times maybe available such as weekday mornings. You need to check the lesson or practice ride calendar.
- Riders must sign up in advance (at least a week) by submitting an email to robyn@greatescapestables.com with the requested practice ride day, time and horse. DO NOT TEXT PR Requests.
- Individual Practice rides are $55 per ride check or cash in an envelope with your name on it.
- Once you sign up for a practice ride you are required to pay for it regardless of taking it or not as you have reserved that horse for that day and time.
- If you sign up and don't pay it will be added to your next lesson invoice, and a late fee may apply.
- Practice rides are only available to GES riders.
- We must have a practice ride policy acknowledgement form on file. You can click the link to view and sign or Robyn will email you one when you first sign up for practice rides or leasing.
Pre - Leasing ($500/month) - Our Pre- Leasing program is the second step after Intro. lessons. Pre-leasing gets riders more time in the saddle and at the barn with additional riding time. Pre-leasing or Recreational leasing is a steppingstone to our regular half lease program. You will need to contact Robyn (click to email) to discuss pre-lease options and goals. Once riders reach Level B+ they are automatically moved to Pre-leasing. Showing is available to Pre-lease riders but an additional fee will apply. Pre-Leases include up to 4 lessons, 4 practice rides ($500/month tuition), horsemanship classes are discounted to $20/class for Pre-lease students.
Leasing ($750/month) - Leasing is a great alternative to horse ownership! Owning a horse isn't an option for everyone and leasing can give riders the chance to feel like a horse owner. Riders who would like more time in the saddle, who have reached Jump 2 or those who would like to show participate in our regular lease program. Leasing is also a good steppingstone to horse ownership. You will need to contact Robyn (click to email) to discuss options, pricing and goals. These leases are half leases (up to 3 rides per week). Full leases with up to 5 rides per week are available at an additional charge.
Lease Options are available for riders in the following levels: Level B+, C & Jump 1/2/3. Please click the current lease info. document to view options and pricing for all options. Riders looking to jump higher than 2'3 need to contact Robyn about in barn lease options and out of barn lease options.
Leases include up to 4 lessons, 8 practice rides ($750/month tuition), horsemanship classes are discounted to $15/class for lease students.
Equipment: ALL Pre-lease riders must have their own saddle pads, grooming and bathing items and SHOULD consider getting their own saddle. ALL lease riders and Show/Full Lease riders need their own saddles/bridles & girths as well as the items noted above. Please see your lease documents for full details. Practice Ride Calendar
