LAST THURSDAY NIGHT PT. 1
By:

So, my ability to draw has mysteriously disappeared again. Rather than leave you with nothing, I thought it’d be nice to show you the three page strip I did for the Webcomic Underdogs Anthology comic.

This takes place the night before all the events that we’ve been following lately. I wanted to make a comic that would introduce most of the gang to new readers. I hope you like it. The next installment will be on Wednesday, and we’ll finish on Friday. It’ll be just like old times!

Love that song. And, thanks to some trivia I gleaned from the cool comic “DadRockGirlPop,” I know that the “73” in the first line comes from the number of keys on the composer’s Rhodes piano.
Don’t remember the chickens part though…

Yes, I agree. While I was stationed at Ft Knox (78-81), a bunch of us(GI’s and Civilians) where playing D&D, and having a good time. Until I hit a very, very bad patch of BAD luck (rolled a series of 2 & 3’s) and did a great job of nearly killing the party. For some reason, they put me on point after that. The good news is that the DM stopped the group from getting me killed after two weeks. It was fun???

Played as a Cleric.
Ever tried to transport a character back to an Abbey for curing after he’d been bitten by a Vampire?
Lost a lot of the group on the Clerics must sleep to recover.

Thanks for asking, I didn’t get anywhere BUT the level of the competition was really High. Speaking to a judge afterwards they had a really hard time picking best of show, eight judges eight separate selections.

Still had a lot of fun, bought myself a really nice Dragon…..and it’s not every day someone gets to say that!

Never played a Paladin. I was always a Druid.
And there’ll be more Underdog Anthologies-I hope we see a Vatican Assassins short soon!

Take some time to recharge your batteries! We all have times like that. Until then, I shall enjoy this delightful short.

My friends all play D&D together, and they have a TON of Paladins. They made me swear that if I ever do join them that I promise not to be a Paladin. This page reminded me of that.
