Méli-Mélo opened on Greenwich Avenue in 1994 as an homage to the regional cuisine of Bretagne, France. Restaurateur, Marc Penvenne, was excited to recreate and introduce his favorite childhood flavors of traditional savory buckwheat and sweet wheat crépes to local community. The vast selection and forever expanding (award-winning) menu of fresh juices and smoothies, whimsical crépes, hot and cold soups, all natural sorbets and ice creams, wholesome sandwiches, and vibrant salads reflect the restaurant’s name, which means hodgepodge. In 2011, the restaurant expanded from a cozy eatery of just 20 to over 60 seats in response to the community which continues to generously support the restaurant throughout the years. Today customers will find a robust takeout “grab & go” selection at the front of the restaurant, recently added wine and beer menus, and the same great breakfast, lunch and dinner for decades.
