Penile Discharge discomfort and tenderness- Posted by Curious: I recently began a new relationship. A few days after having sex, I developed a penile discharge from my penis and experienced discomfort.
Thinking it was chlamydia a curablesexually transmitted diseasecaused by bacteria, we ceased having sexual intercourse and went forSTD testing. (The test included chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphillis.)
In the meantime, the doctor prescribed us both withdoxycyclineas the symptoms seemed to indicate a chlamydia infection.
However, both our tests came back negative. Her doctor told her she had "non-specific vaginitis" for which she was given medication.
I was then told this is not an STD and that I required no treatment.
What I don't understand is what caused my discharge and tenderness?
Another individual indicated that because of the different chemical makeup our bodies,
we might just be "adjusting" to one another and that is what caused the discharge and discomfort.
That sounds rather ridiculous--am I allergic to my girlfriend??? So I am here scratching my head!
