The Founders
The Founders Mariano and Mary Rendon started Midland Soup Kitchen in 1985 as they began to answer a call from The Lord. All from a verse ''If you love me feed my sheep'' John 21:17
At the time the Rendons responded to the call by opening their hearts and home to the needs of the poor in their surrounding neighborhood. Since then their work and geographical base has grown a great deal.

Since the passing of the founders, the Ministry continues! Currently the daughter Nancy Ivy is continuing the legacy of the Rendons.
Husband, Jason Ivy is the Minister who preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ everyday to the people as they eat their home cooked meal.
Children Jay Anthony Ivy, and Nathen Ivy help wherever needed in the ministry anytime they are able to be their!
