Adapting a book into a movie can be a hit or miss. This year saw a variety of book-to-screen adaptations with our favorite stars as the main leads and sometimes the supporting ones.

Written by Patrick Radden Keefe, Say Nothing solely focuses on the troubles in Northern Ireland. The book is being adapted into a thriller mini-series, set to release on Nov,14 on Hulu.

Ripley, a neo-noir psychological thriller TV series is based on the popular book, The Talented Mr. Ripley. With a whopping 4/5 rating on Goodreads, the book-to-movie adaptation was released this year in April.
The series streamed on Netflix and among the cast members, the most prominent ones are Andrew Scott playing the beloved roles of Ripley, Elliot Summer, Dakota Fanning, and Johnny Flynn.
The popular Colleen Hoover book, It Ends With Us earned both criticism and love when it was released. The book which was adapted into a movie, starred Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, Jenny Slate, and Isabela Ferrer.
The movie follows the main lead Lilly Bloom (Blake Lively) going through the hardships of life. The story sheds light on several important topics and societal problems.
Based on the book by A.M. Shine, the Watchers is directed by Dakota Fanning and Ishana Night. The book/movie is a horror one and the main lead Lucy is played by none other than Dakota herself.

Who here loves Adam Sandler? The answer would be everyone. The grown-ups’ lead starred in this book-to-movie adaption, written by Jaroslav Kalfař in 2017.
The movie, however, incorporated some pretty big changes including the South Korean Mission part, and Jakub, played by Adam Sandler, was saved by the South Koreans instead of the Russians, as was originally done in the book.
The television series, A Gentleman in Moscow was released in March 2024 and since then it has been viewed by hundreds and thousands of people. The series that’s based on Amor Towles’s novel, A Gentleman in Moscow, perfectly captures the essence of what it was like living in post-revolutionary Russia.
Ewan McGregor plays the role of the main lead with his love interest Anna Urbanova by the side.
Fool Me Once by Harlan Coben was adapted into a mind-bending TV series. Michelle Keegan once again rocked the main lead’s role with Richard Armitage playing her husband.
