Blake Shelton is back in the spotlight, and as usual, he’s bringing both music and laughs.
During an interview Shelton talked about the release of his first single in two years, Texas , his upcoming album, and, of course, his hilarious ongoing “feud” with Luke Bryan.
Known for their playful banter, these two country icons never miss a chance to poke fun at each other, and Shelton didn’t disappoint when the conversation turned to Bryan.
Stay tuned to learn even more!
When asked who would win in an arm wrestling match between the two, Shelton couldn’t resist throwing some playful shade at his buddy.
“Luke could probably beat me at arm wrestling,” Shelton said. “Because he’s so into his looks and he’s so vain like that.”
But he wasn’t done yet. “I know he roids a lot, so he could probably beat me,”Shelton joked, suggesting that Bryan’s muscles might have some “help.”
The crack was pure Blake—sharp, funny, and over-the-top.
Fans know this is all part of their shtick. Bryan has taken plenty of shots at Shelton in the past, including roasting him about his farming abilities.
The two have been trading barbs for years, and their playful rivalry has become a favorite part of their friendship for fans.
Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan love to tease each other, and sometimes, they even get mistaken for one another!
Back in 2020, an Instagram post by Bryan went viral when he was shown playing guitar on-air with the caption “Blake Shelton” underneath.
During his April 29, 2021 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , Fallon showed the photo to Bryan, who laughed and called it “classic.”
Bryan joked that after the mistake, his life was “ pretty much over” and went on to poke fun at Shelton’s gray hair, saying:
“Blake just chooses to go gray and look like a silver fox,” while Bryan himself works hard using hair products to keep his youthful look.
The lighthearted banter between the two country stars is always full of laughs, and they clearly enjoy having fun with each other.

Despite the zingers, Shelton and Bryan share a genuine camaraderie. Their back-and-forth ribbing is never mean-spirited, and both stars know how to take a joke.
From their time co-hosting awards shows to impromptu interviews, they’ve always kept fans laughing.
“They’re like two big brothers constantly trying to outdo each other,” one fan commented on social media. “But you can tell they’ve got nothing but love for each other.”
Amid the laughs, Shelton also dropped some exciting news: he’s been working on a new album.
While details are still under wraps, Shelton revealed that he’s close to finishing it. “I should have it turned in to my record label soon,”he shared.
This will be Shelton’s first album since 2021’s Body Language and his first major music project since stepping away from The Voice .
He hasn’t announced a release date or any tour plans yet, but fans are already buzzing about what he’s been cooking up.
For now, they can enjoy Texas , a track that reveals a fresh and bold side of Shelton, showcasing his willingness to experiment with new styles and storytelling.
Blake Shelton surprised his fans when he left Warner Music Nashville, the label he had been with for nearly 20 years.
With almost 30 No. 1 songs in his career, it seemed like a big change—but Shelton quickly signed with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville/Wheelhouse Records, home to stars like Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson.
‘Texas ‘ is his first song with the new label. The song, which talks about heartbreak and being left behind, is different from anything he’s done before.
Written by Johnny Clawson, Josh Dorr, Kyle Sturrock, and Lol Guzman, the song is less than three minutes long and has a moody, bass-driven sound with hints of disco, twangy guitars, and layered vocals.
Produced by his longtime collaborator Scott Hendricks, the song tells the story of a heartbroken man sitting in a smoky bar, wondering where his ex has gone after leaving him.
Shelton even gives a nod to George Strait by mentioning the classic hit All My Ex’s Live in Texas .
Shelton says this song is different from anything he’s done before, calling it the perfect way to start the next chapter of his career.
It’s a big leap, but Shelton is excited to push his boundaries and try something new.
The Shelton-Bryan rivalry has become a staple of country music culture.
Whether they’re ribbing each other about farming, fitness, or fashion, their banter is a reminder that even superstars don’t take themselves too seriously.
“Blake’s always got the best comebacks, but Luke knows how to give it right back,” another fan said. “It’s just fun to watch two guys at the top of their game having such a good time.”
With Shelton teasing new music and Bryan keeping busy with his own projects, these two don’t show any signs of slowing down.
Whether they settle the arm wrestling debate on stage or keep the jabs coming through interviews, one thing’s for sure: fans are here for every hilarious moment.
