Carrie Underwood didn’t let a little slip on stage ruin her performance at the Carolina Country Music Fest this weekend.
The superstar headlined the rain-soaked event in Myrtle Beach on Sunday, June 9, and despite the weather’s challenges, she delivered a show to remember.
The night took a surprising turn towards the end of her performance. Video footage from TMZ shows Underwood taking a slightly awkward stumble while leaving the stage .
She appeared to lose her balance while stepping down some stairs. The crowd noticed the fall, with fans shouting, “ She fell!” in the background.
However, the “Play On” singer didn’t let the incident — or the downpour — dampen her spirits or her performance.
Underwood embraced the rainy conditions, continuing her performance even in the midst of a heavy storm.
She shared an Instagram video of herself singing in the pouring rain, captioning it, “We won’t let a little rain stop us! We won’t let a massive downpour stop us, either!”
Her commitment to her fans and her performance was evident.
Despite the fall, Underwood remained in high spirits after the wet and wild performance in South Carolina.
In another post, she reflected on the evening with positivity, writing,
“Well, last night sure was fun! And though the ending was quite unexpected, it made for a night we’ll never forget! 🌧️💧☔️ Thanks for being awesome, #MyrtleBeach!!!”

This isn’t the first time Underwood has taken a fall.
She experienced a more serious accident on the steps outside her home in Nashville in 2017, which resulted in a broken wrist requiring surgery and over 40 stitches to her face.
The former American Idol star opened up about the incident during a 2018 appearance on iHeartRadio’s The Bobby Bones Show , revealing that she had tripped while taking her dogs out for a final walk of the night.
“I was taking the dogs out one last time, and I just — I tripped,” she explained. “There was one step, and I didn’t let go of the leashes! Priorities! So that’s why my left hand’s fine. But I went to catch myself, and I just missed a step.”
Underwood added, “If I had fallen anywhere else, I would have been perfectly fine. But it was one step that messed everything up.”
Speaking about the fall to Storme Warren on SiriusXM’s The Highway channel, the Grammy-winning artist recalled, “I thought I just busted my lip.
Then I walked inside and took the dog leashes off, took my coat off, and went to survey the damage and was like, ‘Oh, no!’”
“I’m acting very calm about it now, but … it wasn’t pretty,” she added. “I chipped my tooth, but it was just my skin, thank the Lord. Stitches and all that stuff.”

Similarly, Luke Bryan also had a memorable fall during one of his concerts. In 2014, while performing in Charlotte, North Carolina, he misstepped and fell off the stage.
Luke was singing and moving around energetically when he suddenly slipped and tumbled right into the crowd.
Despite the fall, he handled it like a pro, laughing it off and quickly getting back on stage to continue his performance.
The incident didn’t faze him at all; in fact, it made the night even more unforgettable for the fans who witnessed it.
