An artist of a new generation of stylish looks with long hair and a full beard named Chris Stapleton . He is a profound country music singer, composer, and songwriter. In the recent year, Chris won the CMA award as the male vocalist of the year. However, it is not his first award, he has already won two consecutive awards as the male vocalist of the year.
Rich and full of amazing tunes, Chris Stapleton’s catalog is impressive. His music is worth checking out if you enjoy country music or wish to hear more soulful vocals. As the songwriter, Stapleton wrote several countless hits for other singers. He introduced the musical band The Steel Drivers for a few years. Later, he formed another band, The Jompson Brothers.

Christopher Alvin Stapleton opened his eyes in 1978 in Kentucky, America to Carol J. and Herbert Joseph Stapleton. His parents worked hard to give him comfort. His father was an engineer and his mother was a health provider in the local area hospital. Chris has two more siblings, a brother Herbert Joseph III, and a sister Melanie Brook. Chris is the middle one of his siblings.
Chris Stapleton was raised in the state of Staffordsville and finished high school in his hometown. He then studied engineering like his father, but could not complete it till the end.
It was the year 2001 when Chris wanted to pursue his career in music. He went to the city of music Nashville for this purpose. Particularly Chris started as a songwriter and signed a contract with Sea Gayle Music, where he got the chance to write songs for the bigger names of the country music artists. Some of his major hits include Luke Bryan’s Drink a Beer , Kenny Chesney’s “ Never Wanted Nothing More” , George Strait’s Loves Gonna Make It Alright , and others.
The Steel Drivers , the band with whom he worked as a leader published a few hits records in bluegrass genres. However, Chris left soon. Later for more experience, he made another band The Jompson Brothers based on the guitarist Greg McKee ,drummer Bard McNamee, and bass player J.T. Cure. The band worked on a single album in 2010.
Additionally, in 2013 Chris and his spouse Morgane performed Jennings’s song live at Grand Ole Opry . Similarly, in the 2014 CMT award ceremony, Stapleton and Lady A performed Stapleton’s song Drink a Beer sung by Luke Bryan.
Before releasing his music, Stapleton composed multiple songs of the featured hits of that time. He released his first album in 2015 named Traveler. The album which he co-produced and worked on with The Jompson Brothers. His first album counted as double-certified platinum by RIAA. The album was also nominated as the album of the year.
Further, he moved to his second album which was A Room: Volume 1 he released in 2017. The album broke records of success and peaked at 2 on the Billboard country music chart. Right after a short period, Stapleton published its second edition A Room: Volume 2. It was another successful edition like its first part. Volume 1 was referred to as the best-selling album of the year.
The single You Are My Sunshine was sung by Chris and his wife in 2016. The same year he attended the Country Festival where he performed with multiple artists including Andrew Combs, Kacey Musgraves, and others. The event was held in Europe.
Stapleton also recorded his meaningful voice for the song I Want Love for Sir John Elton’s album in 2017. The Kentucky native also appeared in the TV show Saturday Night Live in 2016. He sang his greatest hits live in concert as a guest role. Stapleton’s other awesome work was Lee Ann Womack’s song, which she sang in 2008 but written by Stapleton. Later the song was added to his studio album A Room: Volume 1.
Following the year 2020, Stapleton published his single Starting Over . Later he added the song to his new album Starting Over. He released several singles in his upcoming years.

Chris’ singing style is prominent in bluegrass, classic southern rock, and solo. It also enhanced outlaw country, blues, and rock and roll. In fact, his singing artistry shows a blend of a variety of genres. In his starting years, Stapleton sang bluegrass and created the band “The Steel Drivers” . Meanwhile, after two or more years he came to rock and roll style and created The Jompson Brothers.
Hence, Stapleton sings a variety of tenor vocals. He is also referred to as a soul singer who merges all genres of music when singing.
Chris was nominated several times for multiple awards such as CMA, Grammy, and ACMA . However, he won the following awards.
