Coldplay has been making people happy and kind in strange ways. The band has been in the news for all the right reasons, like when they surprised fans with surprise concerts and stood with other artists.
A string of sweet events involving Coldplay has made thousands of fans happy and given others hope through their kindness.
Because of things like their surprise show in Dublin and their touching ode to Taylor Swift, the band has shown how music can bring people together and change lives.
There have been recent acts of kindness by the band, which have been talked about in this story.
A lot of Coldplay fans gathered on Dublin’s busy Grafton Street on August 29, 2024, hoping to see the band play out of the blue.
Fans from all over the capital came together on social media to talk about the rumors that a big act was going to play a secret show.
Around 8 p.m., lead singer Chris Martin and rapper Burna Boy came out into the street, where there was increased security and a clear police presence.
The crowd cheered and applauded when the upstairs windows of nearby stores opened to show professional cameras recording what was going on below.
Chris Martin, Burna Boy, Little Simz, Elyanna, and TINI all performed “We Pray” for the first time in public. The song will be in a music video coming soon to the band’s official TikTok channel.
The artists played the song more than once, so fans could record videos and sing along.
Some fans were upset that they could not get closer to the musicians, but Niamh Burke, a teacher from Tipperary, was thrilled to see the band live, even though she did not understand why they kept playing the same song.

Coldplay’s four sold-out shows at Dublin’s 82,000-seat Croke Park included this surprise show.
The concerts were part of their record-breaking Music Of The Spheres World Tour, which has sold over 10 million ticketsand is the most popular music tour of all time.
The band’s last show was in Vienna, where Chris Martin dedicated a song to Taylor Swift fans after she had to cancel her gigs because of safety worries. They then went to Dublin.
Coldplay was nice to more than just their fans; they were also nice to other country acts.
Coldplay’s four-concert series began on August 22, 2024, at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium.
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows had been canceled there before because of a failed terrorist plan.
Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, and Maggie Rogers, singer, did a touching acoustic version of Taylor Swift’s 2008 hit song “Love Story.”
Martin also brought two people on stage who called themselves “Swifties” to sing with them. He did this to show his love and support for Swift and her fans.
That was the first big name to lead a show at the Ernst Happel Stadium since the Swift concerts that were supposed to happen on August 9, 2024, were canceled.

Austrian officials said they had stopped a plan based on ISIS to attack one of Swift’s shows, which caused three events to be canceled.
Swift told the police that she was thankful for how quickly they acted, which kept her fans safe.
Swift said this about the cancellations on her Instagram page: “The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned to come to those shows.”
She was also thankful to the police, saying, “But I was also so thankful to the police because thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives.”
Their show was important because they showed support for Taylor Swift and her fans, and there were also strong safety steps in place.
Live Nation GSA says that the venue’s safety plan was made in collaboration with local officials and partners to make sure that all guests, artists, and staff were safe.
It said, “The well-being of all attendees, artists, and staff is our top priority… to ensure the safety of everyone on site.”
After their event on Wednesday and Thursday Coldplay is set to play three more shows in Vienna on Saturday and Sunday.
Many people liked what they did to show support for Swift and her fans. It shows how music can bring people together and comfort them in hard times.
Fans were still moved by Coldplay’s kindness after their surprise show in Dublin.
Brenda Courell, a mother of five lives in Meath, Ireland. She was diagnosed with advanced stage four breast cancer and has been given a new start to life.
Brenda’s cancer has gone into partial recovery, even though the initial prediction was three to five years. She has been released from hospice care.
Brenda’s trip began when she asked for help to get Coldplay tickets after missing the first sale of the band she loves. She had been trying to get tickets online for five hours but had not been able to.
Wendy Jameson from Duleek responded to her plea and gave her two tickets as a gift in honor of her brother Edmond Fitzgerald, who had died in New York from cancer.
Brenda was thrilled to get the tickets, and since then she and Wendy have become very close.
Her email with VIP tickets to one of Coldplay’s Croke Park shows had been in her junk folder for almost a year, though, so she almost missed another chance.
It was an email from Coldplay’s public relations team. They had seen her story in the news and wanted to give her two VIP tickets to any of the four nights.
At the show on Sunday night, Brenda’s son Killian will be there with her. She might even meet Chris Martin and the rest of the band. She was also given a custom-designed T-shirt with the Irish word “grá” on it, which she hopes to wear to the show.
“Grá” means “love” in Irish, and it is a theme that runs through all of Coldplay’s shows. Brenda hopes that Chris Martin will say it from the stage.
Add to that the news that Brenda has seven to eight years left to live after scans showed that the cancer has not spread and that the lumps in her lungs and chest have shrunk.
Now she is excited to see Coldplay shows with her family and friends, and she is thankful for people like Wendy who were kind to her. “I believe miracles do happen, and they have for me!” says Brenda.
