Did you know Princess Diana has three nieces? Many of you might not, largely because they rarely ever appeared on occasions related to the Royal Family.
However, it looks like the times are changing. The trio was seen at the Centrepoint Awards ceremony, carrying the values and passions Princess Diana upheld.
Guess who made an appearance to support their beloved cousin Prince William? Diana’s nieces, of course.
The trio, which included Lady Amelia Spencer, Lady Kitty Spencer, and Lady Eliza Spencer, came out to support their cousin at the Centrepoint Awards and Gala dinner at the British Museum on 16th October 2024.
The recent event that brought the cousins together was for a cause near and dear to Williams’ heart, just like it was for her mother. The Centrepoint Awards are known for celebrating the achievements of young people who have experienced homelessness.
The niece’s appearance indicates that they’re following right in the footsteps of their aunt.
The sisters’ rare appearance was quite the bang, especially with their stylish and sophisticated fashion choices. Amelia and Eliza donned a lengthy, flowing skirt in a similar shade of silver, which was complemented by ornate bodices with shimmering crystal beading.
On the other hand, Kitty Spencer did something different and wore a Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda gown with intricate embroidery featuring an eye-catching Venetian scene accompanied by gondolas and blooming flowers.
You must be wondering why there is so much talk about this appearance. Well, for starters, it is pretty rare for the sisters to smile in front of the cameras and the general public together.
Secondly, this joint support for their cousin shows a united front, indicating that Prince William is backed up by his family, especially in light of the scrutiny faced by the Crown regarding the feud between Prince William and Prince Harry.
In addition to the Spencer sisters, Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli were also in attendance at the gala.
West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen, Ted Lasso star Kola Bokinni and TV presenter sister Yinka, Supacell star Tosin Cole, and BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough were also at the awards.
Born in 1992, the daughter of Charles Spencer and the late Victoria Lockwood, Eliza Spencer is all about sophistication and elegance. She bears a strong resemblance to her famous aunt Diana, and she has earned deep appreciation from the general public.
Aged 28, Eliza Spencer lives with her boyfriend of seven years, Channing Millerd, a 29-year-old tech executive.
Twin to Eliza Spencer, Amelia, like her sisters, has only been seen on rare occasions, like the weddings of Prince Williams and Prince Charles and at the time of her engagement with Greg Mallet. Both sisters have appeared together in various magazine covers.
Amelia Spencer is known for being dedicated to charitable work and carrying on Diana’s legacy of compassion.
Kitty Spencer, a University of Cape Town graduate, combines her diverse academic background with a successful career in modeling. She often graces the covers of magazines and walks the runway, showcasing a perfect combination of elegance and style.
The sister is quite removed from the Royal Family, paving her path while being married to Micheal Lewis.
Sir Kenneth Olisa, Lord Lieutenant of Greater London, and Seyi Obakin, Centrepoint CEO greeted the star of the evening. William attended the event in a dark blue velvet tuxedo, carrying himself with grace and character.
William has been the patron of Centrepoint since 2005 and was one of the award presenters for the evening.
But are Prince Williams’ efforts only limited to being the Centrepoint’s Patron for almost 20 years? Prince Williams has shown sheer determination to continue his mother’s legacy as he built up a new campaign called Homewards .
The campaign was run for 5 years following an ambitious plan to end homelessness.
The public loves everything related to Princess Diana, so of course, it was quite eminent that the nieces be showered with nothing but love. The appearance of this trio sparked excitement on social media, with followers sharing their admiration for the young women and the twins’ resemblance to Diana.
The public hopes that this legacy of Princess Diana continues through her children and nieces.
Prince William was seen complimenting the “spectacular” backdrop of the Nereid Monument. During a light-hearted conversation with singer Beverley Knight, the Prince inquired whether she was singing as the acoustics needed a “Beverley Knight” moment.
William also wished the finalists a hearty good luck, inquiring how they were feeling and commending their inspiring journey.
The prince of Wales attended the evening without his lady on the arm, Kate Middleton. This absence can be due to several reasons, including the Princess of Wales’s health status.
However, Prince Williams had plenty of his family members attending the event, ignoring the fact that none of them was his beloved wife.
Prince Williams took on the stage, highlighting the issue that all young people should have affordable options to live and thrive independently. The charity’s patron stated, “While homelessness is, of course, a complex societal issue, I passionately believe that it can, and should, be ended.”
The prince helped present awards to six young and aspiring individuals who overcame huge challenges and achieved accomplishment in every phase of life.

Almost 400 guests attended the event, which was held in the Museum’s Great Court. The opening ceremony featured singer Joe Delvin.
The singer also experienced homelessness, making the performance 10 times more memorable. One of the award winners for the night, Toni Ann, delivered a spoken word piece called “Hopeful, not Hopeless.”
