The GOP’s vice presidential candidate, JD Vance, has caused some unrest with his rude comments about people who do not have children.
Jennifer Aniston, an actress, has openly called him out and said she can not believe what he did.
Vance’s sister has defended him, but people are still angry at him.
“Childless cat ladies” are responding to Vance’s words on TikTok by using them to show off their pets and reject his statements.
This debate shows how important reproductive rights are and fights bad ideas about people who do not have children.
Women and well-known people are coming out against Vance’s views, which is making the argument more heated.
Jennifer Aniston has spoken out against JD Vance, the GOP vice presidential candidate, for making rude comments about women who do not have children .
In a video clip from 2021 that has been found again, Vance called people who do not have children “miserable” and said they have no stake in the future of the country .
Aniston put the video on her Instagram story and said she was shocked and angry that a possible vice president would say such things.
Vance said those things on Tucker Carlson’s old Fox News show, where he made fun of famous Democrats without kids like Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, and AOC.
When Vance said those things, Aniston wrote, “I truly can not believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States.”
She also prayed that Vance’s daughter would not have the same problems getting pregnant that Aniston did.
Aniston has been open about her problems getting pregnant and with IVF. In an interview with Allure in 2022,she talked about how the rumors about her reproductive decisions had hurt her emotionally.
She said Vance was wrong to try to take away ways to have children, like IVF, which she had used herself during her trip.
Aniston has also been a strong supporter of Kamala Harris’s bid for president. After her post about Vance, she shared a video from 2018 of Harris asking Brett Kavanaugh about abortion rights.
Harris is married to Doug Emhoffand has two step children with him. His kids, Ellaand Cole, make fun of her by calling her “ momala .”
There has been a lot of disapproval of Vance’s words. Many people have said that he does not understand how modern families live.
Aniston’s answer shows how important reproductive rights are and how important it is to fight damaging stories about people who do not have children.
In the wake of the scandal over his words in 2021 about “childless cat ladies” in the Democratic Party, JD Vance’s sister , Lindsay Lewis, has joined his defense.
Vance, the Republican candidate for vice president, got in trouble after a video of him using the line on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News came back to light.
Lewis said in a statement, “Vance is a testament to the women in his life,” he had to be strong and rely on them. Lewis talked about how Vance was raised by strong women, like their mother Bev, and his wife Usha.
She said that the media and Democrats’ criticism was “ vile” and thought that Vance had different views on women.
A post on social media said that Vance’s mother and sister were told not to talk to the public.
But Lewis’s words make it sound like she is coming out in support of her brother. Since Vance was named vice president, his family has been in the news a lot.
Bev, his mother, went with him to the Republican National Convention. When Vance talked about how she overcame addiction, she got a standing ovation.
Vance’s words about women and his stand against abortion have caused a lot of trouble, but his sister’s response shows how personal the problem is.
Lewis’s comment is meant to show that Vance is a real person and that he has relationships with strong women, which is different from how people think he feels about women.
A lot of “childless cat ladies” have taken to TikTok to respond to what Senator JD Vance said about women in the past.
As a trend became popular, women adapted Vance’s speech to a TikTok sound. This sound has already caught on on the app, as 2,908 videoshave already used it.
JD Vance’s comments have been used as the background music for videos of American women without children showing off their cats.
Cecilia Marie (@andherescecelia) from Los Angeles, California, is one of these women. Marie walked down the catwalk with her black cat in her arms and got support from other cat fans. On TikTok, her video got 139,200likes and 636,100views.

Some people, like Lo (@lo_liz19), who is the mom of Cheeto and Daphne, used the sound to share a video of herself laughing while holding her gray and orange cats.
The video got 87,700 likesand 545,900views.
Lucille (@lucilletherescue), who has a cat that she stole, also joined the trend.
“ When will men start realizing that being called a ‘cat lady’ is not even an insult?”she wrote over the video of her and her black and white cat, which got 60,700likes and 236,000views on the app.
Fans of Taylor Swift, called “Swifties,” have also joined the protests.
Meagan (@atlmeagsnow) posted a picture of herself and her cat on X and wrote, “ Do not mind me, just enjoying life as a “miserable, single cat-lady” with Taylor Swift and our current Vice President.”
Pip (@pirateherojones) wrote on X, “ Miserable lady with no children and her son reporting for duty.”
Karmala 2024 No Sweaters for Harris” She shared a picture of her cat’s paw next to a friendship band by Taylor Swift.
In the interview with Fox News, Vance talked about more than just Harris as a top Democrat. He also called out Pete Buttigieg, who is Secretary of Transportation, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is a Representative from New York.
That same day that Vance said those things, Buttigieg and his husband Chasten adopted two children.
As of 2016, the U.S. Census Bureau found that about 23 million women in the United States between the ages of 45 and 64 do not have children.
A new study from the Pew Research Center shows that the number of people under 50 who do not think they will have children has gone up from 37% in 2018 to 47% in 2023.
The fact that more and more women in the US do not have children shows that American society is changing.
As the number of women who do not have children grows, they may have a big impact on the next election.
Some women have used the sound of TikTok to get other women to vote in the upcoming election.
Shannon, who is from Dallas, Texas, shared a video of herself cuddling her gray tabby cat (@shannonx323). She wrote, “#Childless cat ladies, who vote,” over the video.
