He said that he goes often to a nearby grocery shop and is greeted like a neighbor.
I get neighborly respect from them. They speak about interesting neighborhood things as they all know I live in that little town. Such as:
“ Did you hear about such and such’s farm selling? Or how about the storm that brought down a tree? Cool sh-t, ya know.”
He values the way the grocery store people treat him like any other customer and doesn’t beg for signatures or photos.
“I also like going food shopping. Everyone is just very, really, really nice; they’ll stop me and say hello, but no one asks for a photo.”
