Meanwhile, Ella Langleyand Riley Green’s duet of “ You Look Like You Love Me ” is poised to be a crowd-pleaser, delivering an emotional performance for fans.
Beyond these powerful duets, the CMAs will honor George Straitwith the prestigious Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award , paying tribute to his legendary career and influence on country music.
Strait’s presence promises to bring an air of reverence and nostalgia, as both fans and fellow musicians celebrate his contributions to the genre.
A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award to George Strait , an icon often called “ The King of Country.”
Announced on November 12, this award recognizes artists who have made a profound impact on country music through sustained popularity, significant influence, and cultural contributions.
Strait’s achievements include over 60 No. 1 hits and more than 30 platinumor multi-platinum albums, a feat that has earned him the distinction of the most-nominated artist in CMA history with 83 nominations.
The award, first introduced in 2012to honor Willie Nelson, celebrates artists who have attained the highest degree of recognition in country music.
Strait’s record-breaking concert this past summer in College Station, Texas, which drew over 110,000 attendees, demonstrated his enduring appeal.
CMA CEO Sarah Trahern emphasized Strait’s authenticity and impact, calling him “an inspiration and icon” for newer generations of country musicians.
Previous recipients of the award include Dolly Parton , Johnny Cash, and Loretta Lynn, each a legend in their own right.

Country stars Luke Bryanand Lainey Wilson, along with NFL great Peyton Manning, will host the 2024 CMAs.
Wilson, who is a first-time host, was thrilled to join Bryan and Manning, who have been co-hosting the CMAs for two years.
“ It’s an honor beyond words,” Wilson said, adding that she has thought of hosting since she first started working in the business.
