As we wrap up 2024, the Billboard Music Awards have wrapped up, honoring artists across all genres. The show has spotlighted musical achievements based on chart performance.
On Nov. 25, the Billboard Music Awards announced the nominees across various categories. Unlike other awards, it relies on year-end metrics from the Billboard charts, not voting, making it a unique and prestigious celebration in the world of music awards.
This year, the Billboard Music Awards made their return to Fox, its original home from 1990 to 2006. The show was also available to stream on platforms like Paramount+ and the Fire TV Channels app, making it easy for fans to tune in on Amazon devices.
Hosted by comedian Michelle Buteau, the Awards aired on Thursday, December 12 at 8:00 pm ET/PT. Performances were available on Billboard.com and across social media channels, bringing the event to fans everywhere.
The 2024 Billboard Music Awards brought an exciting array of performances featuring Linkin Park, Fuerza Regina, Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Shaboozey, Stray Kids, Tyla, Teddy Swims, and Coldplay. The Top Duo/Group category brought serious heat this year. Blink-182 and Linkin Park were ready to reignite their legendary status, while Coldplay continued to soar with their global hits.
Fuerza Regida, known for their corridos tumbados sound, took the crown this year, shaking up the scene, while Stray Kids brought their explosive energy to the competition.
The Top Hot 100 Artist category was packed with chart-toppers. Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen, and Taylor Swift have been dominating the airwaves with hit after hit.

Zach Bryan and Taylor Swift also picked up nominations for their production skills, showing off their creativity and versatility. In the end, Jack Antonoff claimed the win, proving once again why he’s one of the most sought-after producers in the industry.

Kendrick Lamar’s sharp flow and lyrical genius kept his music on repeat. As expected, Taylor Swift took home award after award, leaving us all in awe of her dominance in the industry.
This category celebrated artists who own the sales charts with their unstoppable hits. Jelly Roll brought raw emotion to the forefront, while Jung Kook continued to dominate globally with his infectious tunes.
Shaboozey, the first-time finalist, broke out with fresh energy, and Taylor Swift remained a powerhouse in sales. But it was Shaboozey who won, proving his rise in the industry was only just beginning.
This category highlighted the best in R&B, where soulful vibes and smooth melodies ruled the charts. Brent Faiyaz brought his signature vibe, while Tommy Richman made waves with fresh energy.
SZA was captivated by her powerful voice, and Tyla carved out her place in R&B. SZA took the top honor, continuing to shine as one of the genre’s most powerful voices.
Drake, alongside Future, continues to crush the charts with hit after hit, proving his rap dominance. Kendrick Lamar dropped deep, thought-provoking lyrics that resonated worldwide.
Metro Boomin made his mark with legendary production, while Travis Scott brought unmatched energy and sound. But it was Drake who triumphed, reinforcing his reign as the ultimate rap powerhouse.
Stray Kids came out on top in this fierce K-Pop showdown, proving they’ve got what it takes to dominate the scene. Competing against them were global icons ENHYPEN, Jimin, Jung Kook, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, all bringing their own electrifying energy to the game.
Each one of these artists has made their mark, but Stray Kids’ explosive performance this year was simply unbeatable.
The race for Top Male Artist was nothing short of wild, with Zach Bryan, Luke Combs, and Morgan Wallen all bringing their A-game. Each of these stars carved out their own space on the charts, dominating the country scene with their signature styles.
And then there’s Post Malone and Chris Stapleton, making waves and showing they’ve got country in their bones, too. But in the end, it was Morgan Wallen who snagged the win, proving once again why he’s the one to watch.

With such powerhouse talent, it’s no surprise Charli XCX emerged victorious, proving once again why she’s a force to be reckoned with.
