Successful Thesis Defences in New Master’s Programmes Delivered Entirely in English On 29 June 2026 and 30 June 2026, the first thesis defences were held for graduating students at the Master’s degree level in the programmes “Integrated Maritime Policy” and “Port and Ship Operations”. The education in both programmes is delivered entirely in English. They have been developed as pilot educational projects aimed at preparing highly qualified professionals for the contemporary maritime industry.

From 21 to 25 June 2026, the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy hosted the international course “SQF MOLOF advanced course – Course for experts in the field of the EU sectoral qualification framework for officers”, under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College. This is the first regular course following the pilot course held at the Romanian Land Forces Academy in Sibiu in 2025.
