The course provides practical exercises with: Digital Selective Calling (DSC) system of VHF / MF, transceiver operation, satellite communications via Inmarsat transceiver, NAVTEX Receiver, Portable Survival Equipment – EPIRB, SART, AIS-SART, Distress Communications, Search and Rescue procedures and keeping of Radio Log Book, General Radio Operations Rules, Good Practice, Battery Maintenance

The course is conducted using a telecommunications simulator.

Ship’s master, Master first mate, Master second mate, Officer of the Watch, Telecommunication systems engineer, certified seafarers holding GMDSS Restricted Operator’s Certificate
