What is Liberty Reserve and why should i open one?

Liberty Reserve is another e-currency like E-gold. Liberty Reserve is an account-based e-currency system in which you can store your money in American dollars, European EUROs and transfer payments to other people and receive payments from others. It is safe, reliable and confidential. Liberty reserve is instantaneous, real-time currency for international trade. Within minutes, you can send and receive payments from anyone, anywhere in the world!

Liberty Reserve is incorporated under the laws of Costa Rica and is a 100% irrevocable payment system and digital currency. You can send or receive money to or from anyone in the world. Unlike AlertPay and Paypal, you cannot simply add funds to your Liberty Reserve account but you have to do it through “Exchangers” (external exchange services) most of which are listed at the home page of the Liberty Reserve website. You can use any of the approved exchange providers to send a check to yourself or anyone and anywhere in the world in exchange for your Liberty Reserve funds.

Security of your account. Passwords, PIN’s, stop account feature, and anti-keylogger (trojan) login system are just a few of the security precautions that Liberty Reserve has added to keep your value safe and secure within your account. Transactions are instant and irrevocable. Liberty Reserve is secure, easy to use and cost-effective.

As i experienced, they have really good mechanism for protecting your account. When you first enter your account number id and password, you will go to the welcome page where you have to confirm again that its really you (and not a robot or automatic script). Almost every step you make, you have to confirm your action through various security system. It could be annoying at moments but thats the way they stay secure and keep out hackers and other fraudelent activities.

Liberty Reserve also provides personal, live, one-to-one chat with a customer support representative to answer your questions. No more waiting hours or days to get a simple question answered. Support representatives can also push a URL onto member’s computer as a pop-up so that not have to go looking for a particular link.

There are many businesses online that accepts Liberty Reserve as means of payment for their services. You can buy domain names, trade forex, buy ebooks and many more with your LR funds. To transact with any of the businesses that accepts LR, you must have LR account, make sure it is funded with enough funds to complete your transactions, go to the merchant website, enter your details and your payment will be confirmed asap once successful.

I have implemented Liberty Reserve in this blog of mine. You can now easily buy me a drink with Liberty Reserve without us meeting at the bar..lol

Because opening account is really free, it should be no harm to open one. Just for case you need it in future.

Have any question to ask ?, feel free to drop them in the comments form.

Enjoy.
