List of USSD Codes and SMS Keywords For Sharing and Gifting Glo Data Plans

Recently, I published how to share and gift glo data bundles on the hsi glo selfcare portal . Today, I am delighted to inform you that Glo customers no longer need to log on to http://hsi.glo.com to share or gift a plan. They can now do it with SMS and USSD . Particularly useful if using a phone or device with a small screen.

The USSD Command and SMS String for HSI Gifting

USSD command for HSI Gifting

To GIFT a glo subscription, dial 127 (ussd_plan_number)*friend’s number#

i.e dialing 127 53*08050789657# will gift an Always Micro subscription to 08050789657

Recall that “ 53 ” is the USSD code for buying “Always Micro” as in 127 53#

SMS String for HSI Gifting

To GIFT a subscription, text “ Gift (plan name) (friend’s number) ” to 127

i.e sending “Gift Always Micro 08050789657” as text message to 127 will gift an Always Micro data plan to 08050789657

==> To ADD people to share, dial 127 01*friend’s number#

i.e dialing 127 01*08050789657# will add 08050789657 to share your subscription

==> To REMOVE people from sharing, dial 127 02 friend’s number#
==> To LIST people sharing your subscription, dial 127*00#

SMS Strings for Sharing

==> To ADD people to share, text “ Share (friend’s number) ” to 127

i.e sending “share 08050789657” as text message to 127, will add 08050789657 to share your subscription.

==> To REMOVE people from sharing, text “ Remove (friend’s number) ” to 127
==> To LIST people sharing your subscription, text “ Sharers ” or “ List ” to 127 .
