  Sylvan Park, Lanesboro, Minnesota. he fun starts early with the Rhubarb Run on the beautiful Root River Trail. Then browse the Lanesboro Farmers Market where you will find all the in-season spring vegetables and other local delights. The heart of the festival takes place in Sylvan Park in downtown Lanesboro. Enjoy free rhubarb games and contests including the Tasting Contest where you will taste a wide variety of delicious rhubarb treats and vote for your favorite. Great prizes for all events!   It is held ONLY in odd numbered years.  Beginning early in the morning with a walk/run and continuing with a bake sale, turtle races, a craft show, kids' games, rhubarb judging, a parade, and yummy food vendors. In the afternoon there will be pony rides, a magician, local vocal entertainment, a shooting gallery, inflatables, the John Daly Memorial Bean Bag Tournament, Leola Fireman games, a street dance with local talent performing and more food. The celebration will include FREE MUSIC/COMEDY/MAGIC SHOWS and FREE FIREWORKS. The All-School Reunion will celebrate 100 years since the first graduating class of Leola High School with school tours and an alumni banquet. For RF 16 we will open our doors to all neighbors who can then enjoy our building, our activities, and our members and friends. With great CVUUS participation (i.e., each member becomes a contributing "Rhubarbian"), the Rhubarb Festival might grow and flourish as never before.Pies: These are always the hallmark of the Festival, and will be front and center again this year. We need a lead to recruit pie makers and bakers and organize "pie bees" over two evenings at Fenn House. Rhubarb pies will be priced at $18 and strawberry rhubarb at $20. A choice of corn chowder or chili followed by a scrumptious selection of all-you-can-eat rhubarb desserts made from our own local and in-season rhubarb. There will be two sittings to this events and tickets MUST be purchased in advance. The first sitting will run from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm and the second sitting will run from 6 pm to 7 pm. • The Rosy Rhubarb Festival - June.
  Keystone Complex grounds, Shedden, Ontario, Canada. Every year, on the second weekend in June, we celebrate the plant that put our village on the map. Gardens are lush with ripe rhubarb waiting to be turned into tasty treats for families, friends and visitors. Only the best pies, tarts and cakes make it into our annual rhubarb bake-off. The winning entries are auctioned on the Friday night of the festival, kicking off a weekend of fun, community spirit and fundraising. Come browse the yard sales, participate in the rhubarb pie auction, indulge in local baked goods and our famous Ice Cream With Rhubarb Sauce. Like every year, a portion of the profits from yard sales and auction go towards the Southwold Keystone Complex.
