Playground Safety Inspection – Pleasanton, CA Elementary School: Same Day Service

One of the last playground safety inspections we did was a same day inspection in Pleasanton CA. The PTA was so happy we were able to get out to the school and do the certified inspection. More good new, there were no hazards found and all of the ASTM and CPSC standards were in order. One part of the rubber tiles was not secure to the asphalt so the contractor did need to go back and re-glue a small section. I sent out the report with a PASS and the school principle, PTA and students were so happy to be able to play the next day.

The Pleasanton school district is always putting in new equipment every year and it was nice to be doing something to make sure the kids are more safe. By taking a step (which is mandatory in California) and having the school playground inspected to make sure the equipment is safe, the safety surface (rubber tiles on this project) and the instillation are both done correctly. No in Pleasanton but on so many jobs I have had to get the installer back out before the project is opened to the public and the kids end up waiting to play on the equipment.
