こんどの三連休中に久しぶりにバンドのセッションがあります。

リハビリばっかりじゃなくて、たまにはやったことない曲をやろうということで、よりによってというか、ほかにないのかって感じでレゲエの曲になってしまいました。

ギターの神様、三大ギタリストの一人と言われたエリック・クラプトンの『アイ・シャット・ザ・シェリフ』です。

ギターの神様だけあってギター・ソロが長～～～くて、歌はおまけみたいな曲。

保安官を撃ってしまったんですよ。

日頃からなんだかんだ目を付けられてたジョン・ブラウンていう保安官を。

でも悪気はなかったんだって、正当防衛なんだって、それをずっと歌ってます。

この方、いろんなヒット曲を出してるんですが、シングルチャートで全米第一位になったのはこの曲だけだそうです。

亡くなった息子に捧げた歌『Tears In Heaven』なんかのがすっごくいい曲だしよっぽど流行った気がするんですが、これは第２位だったんですって。

何かいまいち乗り気にならないけど、まあ練習しとくかな。
