First of all, today, I'd like to take this occasion to congratulate a splendid achievement of an important discovery in biological field,
And appreciate all the press in the world for congratulating and praising this achievement .
On the other hand, have you seen how some media in our country were reporting mainly that the scientist who has undertaken with this research is a young woman?
Of course, before this achievement, this researcher must have experienced great hardship, and suffered a severe setback that made her weep the night away,
But I'm asking; in other countries, do they report such sentimental episode and the researcher's fashion and personality unrelated with research when a brilliant female scientist makes an important achievement?
Whetherver their way of report was right or wrong, I'd like to accuse that coverage and story-writing and reports by major media for general public in our country are still based on old-fashioned stale stereotype that women are ornaments in workplaces.
This researcher and the institute finally declared a complaint that press intrusion unrelated with research outcome is obstructing with the research .
At least, it means that this researcher was feeling unpleasant with press intrusion, then the press side must mend their way of report .
This fuss has shown the contrast between high levels of science and technology and low levels of media in our country .
Of course, in our country, there are people appreciate this research and achievement properly, and it's necessary to respond interviews from fair press and specialty journals, for the sake of scientific development.
And although I don't remember about the circumstance of media in other countries I had visited, newspapers and journals and various media specialized in vulgar gossip are everywhere.
Then, what if such science research institutes declare in advance that they reject gossip writers' interviews from the beginning?
-Just as for science and technology fields, that is, though; things could be different when it comes to politics .
As I decided to place this, I thought of an analysis that polarization in cultural level is progressing in our country;
Upper strata who study and absorb culture of high level eagerly, and lower strata who still believe in all the people in our country belong to the middle class while falling into lower and lower in cultural level .
This time, I felt this analysis is right -at least coming true.
Because there are full of information freezing brain.
Needless to say about reports about politics and economy.
It's easy to swallow such media without thinking and give up thinking for ourselves.
And especially in our country, still there seems to be a tendency that oblige people to think the same way and if minority side show an objection, there are people censure for them to enjoy sense of justice ...
-I cannot find how to conclude today's story -sorry.
But since I'm placing this in language that can be read widely today, may I ask for cure for such situation?
